About Me
My name is Jackie, and I am passionate about people first, and yoga second… I am an accountant, a Mum, a foodie, a reader, a lover of horror films, oh, and a Yoga teacher, as well as a Yoga Teacher Trainer.
I began my yoga journey many years ago, when my pain consultant suggested that I try yoga to help with my bad back, and from the second I stepped onto a yoga mat I was hooked. That was 20 years ago, and over the course of that first few years of practice, my back pain disappeared completely.
The very fact that practising yoga cured my back pain completely, whilst increasing my strength and flexibility, AND gave me peace of mind, actually blew me away. I wanted to know more, to delve deeper, and thus my passion and thirst to know more about this ancient practise was born.
I have spent thousands of hours over many years training, teaching, and studying. My biggest inspiration has been the people that I teach; each person I have met has taught me to be a better teacher, and that I needed to look at every individual in my class, and not teach yoga as a ‘one size fits all’ discipline.
Instead, I started to teach PEOPLE. Not just teach yoga. This has enabled me to cater my classes to all.
The training, courses, workshops and qualifications I’ve acquired over the years have contributed to the way I teach today, and have enabled me to continuously make yoga accessible for any and every body.
It is my firm belief that yoga can be practised by anyone, regardless of age, gender, or size.
